Tempted by this unit.

Says it fits Auris with trim kit but looks nothing like any of the current models.

At the end of the day its your money, personally I wouldn’t spend £40 on anything from Lithuania from an auction site never mind £400. If it’s a risk you are prepared to take then fill your boots

Hi I also have been looking for one and seen that one there is another one available from tradesolutions.com which is advertised in eBay but if you buy direct from them you save 10% and you can still pay by Paypal I have ordered one and will post when fitted

That is not quite the case. I have made hundreds of deals via paypal and the protections is not as you mention. If the package never arrives and the seller cannot provide a proof of sending then yes you are protected. The risk here is the device doesn't work, is defective or stops working after a few months or even days. Go to paypal then and you will see the type of answer they will give you. Because they cannot check the item themselves, quality or defect they won't make any refund. At max you can complain with eBay but also there he has is ***** covered he says no refunds or returns. So I would think twice before buying something that costs that much money, unless you can activate the insurance at your home country which is possibly not possible. To had to this it seems that the items are not brand new, even if he tests them all that might no mean anything. As I said its a risk. Maybe contact the seller ask him if he issues a bill. Then go to Toyota and ask if they provide coverage of an item bought from Lithuania with bill. I bought some expensive things from eBay including my Garmin GPS from Spain but the item was registered at the Garmin Website and Garmin provides support in Portugal. Also I bought a small Acer computer which I have a bill and I read that Acer normally handles this things without problems.

Look forward to hearing kennys report on the TNS 510 and yes Grippen I am well aware of Paypals so called protection having been bitten myself in the past.

Just like any other insurance protection the devil is indeed in the detail and just like any other insurance they are experts at not paying.

The risk would be for me to assume my post was more aimed at anyone who had tried or seen this unit in an Auris.

Hi, I want to install a sat nav unit on my auris but I want an original toyota sat nav. There are two alternatives, TNS700 and TNS510. I ruled out the TNS700 because is very expensive, althoug it looks much better than 510 when installed in the car.

Have anybody instaled this unit in his auris? I want to know opinions and see pictures.

Agree the 700 is the one to have.

I chose not to bother with the older unit.

I am now bidding on a TNS510 unit on eBay and wonder if anyone else decided to fit one and if so what are your experiences.

This is a genuine unit and I could grab a bargain so even though the 700 looks a better bet will this one do the job?

Update.Won this unit and after a bit of a delay it arrived.

Spent the morning installing it and am very impressed. Just need to get the trim for the outside and figure out how to transfer my iPhone phonebook.
