What About Te Manifold

there is plenty of advice here about cleaning of the EGR on diesels. and all diesels are having problems with thw carboning up.

but the EGR is only part of the problem, if its getting carboned up so is the manifold its feeding into.

i am only recently joined toc but i have seen no mention cleaning out the manifold.

many FORD and BMW owners remove their manifold and give them now and then and give them a good clean.

but not familier with toyota disels, and it may not easy to remove the inlet manifold, as with some others.

Removing the manifold would be a major job, and probably not worth the hassle.

fords and someothers are not too bad to remove.

but if yor egr is full of sh** then you can bet the manifold is too and no amount of thrashing on the rosd is going to shift this because its on the inlet side.

anyone thinking that using higher grade diesel fuels will clean or make any difference to performance is wasting their money.

ther is a reviews on BG44K & BG244i additives for clearing carbon build up, may
