Aygo Interior Bits - Opinions And Your Pics Please!

Aygo Blue arrived in the week...

http://www.toyotaown...ndpost&p=990438

...love it - but, I'm looking forward to some reasonably subtle upgrades to the interior - gear knob, gaitor, handbrake cover and door pins if I can find any...

I'm thinking;

Opinions?

Anyone know where I can find any simple alloy door pins that will fit the Aygo?

What have you guys done to your interiors?

My Blue came with leather gear knob and gaiter as standard, yes.gif How come yours didn't ?

interesting, must've changed the spec - didn't even come with mats!

edit - just checked - yep now only on the Black

I won't depress you and tell you that I got a full set of blue piped grey carpeted mats to match the car as well as a full set of black rubber ones...

Halfords? I believe the rods are M4, so anything that will fit the hole (7mm I think) with M4 therad inside will

probably fit. But please DO check these measurements as I'm only guesimating the sizes from memory...

REFZ from the Dutch forum has a couple of aluminium doorpins in his 107:

no - you best not - nor that the old Blue came with the glovebox lid either and nor that it was undoutabley cheaper back then! lol

That's progress I guess!

...Still if yours is the older model I'm guessing yours isn't in the newer 'Cayman Blue'? Guess thats one thing I prefer! :)

No worries as long as you are happy, mines given me sterling service and there is not a day when I don't enjoy driving it toast.gif

So happy motoring thumbsup.gif

I've often thought about spraying the speedo and air vent surrounds glossy black to match the exterior... I've seen it done on the My107 blog site, but at the same time I like the brightness of the silver surrounds.

Also, do people recommend the glove box lid? I've heard stories about it falling open, but it'd be handy to have a bit more closed storage in the car... :)

I have had mine for about 16 months now without any problems. There is a newer model also available I believe. Go for it, it looks good and can keep stuff hidden!

Mmm glovebox sounds good... does anyone have any pics of the 'older' and 'newer' versions then?... Thanks :)

stuff

Thanks for those dimensions - those in your pic are exactly the kind of thing I'm after. Popped into our Halfords today for some detailing/cleaning bits and no joy but will check out eBay etc :)

You need the box-lid with the SLIDING catch, this has a lip to be able to slide it.

The previous model had a tilting catch and that fell open on me too. I ended up

fitting an extra magnetic latch way before the revised lid came available.

Hmm sounds interesting... does it look different from the 'older' glove box? :)

The design is pretty much the same, the latch has a lip to it, where the first model was flat, but that's about it.

And due to the newer design and function the actual catch is abut twice as long.

I see, I shall look into it... thanks for the info!! :D
