Wing Mirror

[baffled]

hi all, today i came home to find my wing mirror had been pushed in, presumably by the window cleaner! when i attempted to to pull it back out it came off in my hand. it looks like it has just worked itself free of the metal ring that holds it. there is no damage that i can see. i cant work out how to reattach it and am frightened of doing damage. i phoned a local garage and was quoted £100+. thanks in advance
