Hi new member and first post apart from my intro. I have a Gen 2 SSR-X and have a fleet of about 10 more at work now (had 20). I am considering stepping up to a Gen 3 and was interested in user opinions of the real world differences between the two generations of the surf.

Mine is the 3.0 TD/ Auto and would be looking for similar in a Gen 3.

I know the back door/ window is different, thankfully. The system on the Gen 2 is just a disaster. Particularly here in Africa where the vehicles actually spend most of their life in the bush/ off road. Am surprised someone hasnt come up with an after market fix/ for the entire shambles.

I understand the rear suspension on the Gen 3 is also different. Does it make a noticable difference when your driving.

Are the engines the same or different in the 3.0 TD?

Any assistance much appreciated.
