Oil Drain Plug

going to change the oil and filter on my 2.2 diesel and i found the oil drain plug on the bottom of the filter housing behind the little flap

in the engine cover, is this the only drain plug or is there also a sump plug and would i have to remove the engine cover to locate it and do

i need a special tool to remove the filter as there is no haynes manual your help is much appreciated...cheers kev.

Are you talking about an engine floor cover? If so then yes you'd have to remove that to get at the sump plug but they are usually very obvious.. must be a modern thing if it's hidden. :)

Oil filters just twist off by hand in past experience. Mine came off really easily but again, things have most likely changed since my motor was made. :lol:
