Mystery Warning Light - What Does It Mean?

Good evening folks

I've done a thorough search on the site but cant find the answer to my problem.

I have a mystery warning light on my dash, and I've lost my owners manual :-( Its a yellow light that comes on when the temperature gauge reaches half way (after about 10 mins of driving). It looks like an oil can with a river underneath it.

I thought it was something to do with the coolant, which was low when I checked it. It was only low in the reservoir though, so I topped it up.

The light comes on without fail everytime the car is used, and has been displayed for months now :o naughty i know, but any help is much appeciated.

Should have said, its an 54 plate Rav4, d4d (xt3 i think)

for whats its worth, I have the same on my Previa - and its the engine oil level warning light. If you've checked the oil level, then maybe its a sensor/wiring fault?
