We all know Mr. T must have been on drugs to use the crap plastic in the interior of the iQ. Under the door there's a strip of the plastic at the bottom of the door frame. When we get in and out our feet often scuff it and it looks !Removed! awful now. Is there something we could put over it like some adhesive rubber strip? I'm mindful that if you can buy something that it might interfere when closing the door or possibly make it susceptible to leaks?

I never knew such things existed as options. I thought that what you got is all there was. Worse still, I never knew they had a name. Thanks guys for not slaughtering me for my ignorance. I'll look around some suppliers for some or maybe contact Mr. T to see if they are available separately. Apparently, there is a style pack for the iQ but that looks quite expensive for other things I'd never use.

The scuff plates I have, protect the metal part of the sill directly under the door, not the piece of plastic that is inboard of the door seals near the fuel cap release thing.

These plastic bits do seem to easily get kicked by feet on the way in or out, but so far in my case the marks just rub off OK.

It should be easy enough to find some self adhesive tape type stuff to protect them though, which can be removed later.

I just watch where I put my feet. :P ;)

All manufacturers are guilty of the use of terrible materials anyway, so I tend not to complain. :)

Guys, it is indeed the inboard plastic piece. I'm very careful to avoid scuffing it but my wife gets in and out of the car maybe 20+ times a day. Unfortunately, her feet are not so considerate!

I must say the plastics in the IQ are not as bad as some of the others i looked at before settling on the IQ.

The Twingo costs more in certain trims and the plastic is pure repulsive, also if you hit it you get the worst sound back.

I was actually quite impressed with the IQ specially for it's price against the rivals.
