Engine Oil Dip Stick

hi i have a 2010 yaris 1.33 petrol stop start has anyone had problems with the dip stick rubbing in the stick tube and giving you the idea the engine is over filled its imposable to get the correct reading

I get the same on mine but with differing levels on both sides of the dip stick. One side is way too high and not consistent between measurements but the other side reads about right and is always the same.

Pull the stick out, clean it and put it in for 2 seconds and pull it out again to check the level. Check both sides and you will see the accurate level on the one side which is pretty obvious :thumbsup:

Yep I've been complaining since 2006 its the new engines which have a kinked dip stick instead of straight!!!

when will manufacturers learn dipsticks need to be straight!

DIP STICKS FIX THE DIP STICKS

SR1.8 use oil simple! if you dont check when cold and on perfect level ground they can seem full when infact they're empty be warned!
