Fuse Problem On Carina 2.0d Wagon

I folks, I have a 1991 Carina 2.0D wagon that I have had for a while now. Its just past the 300k km. mark (had it since about the 30k mark). I've just noticed that the radio and clock on the dash dont work. But I cannot seem to find a fuse box for the dash electrics.

All the other electrics work fine in the car, except those two components.

I'm guessing they are on a separate wiring system than everything else, but dont know much more than that.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be.

(also I am clueless about cars which probably doesnt help).

Cheers.

ok. Aparently there is a fusebox behind the dash somewhere. I had a look in the Carina-E manual, but it seems I need to take the facia (whatever that is) off to find the internal fuse box.

Any ideas anyone.

I had a 1986 corola and currently have a 1990 and 1994 carina - all of them have a fuse box inside the driver compartment on the drivers (UK) footwell close to the door pillar. The cover normally gives details of which fuse controls which curcuit

One under the bonnet, one at drivers kick panel and a small one passenger kick panel on some models - is the cigarette lighter working, they normally short out and crack the fuse
