2003 Gen 7 T-Sport Wheel Sizes

Hello,

I am thinking of getting some 18" wheels for my Celica. Will 18" 225/40/18 fit properly? Also will some 18s be detrimental to the handling of the car?

The closest Tyre size to the OE 205/45/17 rolling radius is 225/35/18, but 225/40 will offer a little more ride comfort than the 35 profile at the expense of acceleration. Unfortunately the answer to your second question is..yes. I've had two sets of 18's on my 7, both now sold and I'll be sticking to 17's as handling is definitely impaired.

Yeah, I too personally think 18" is a little too big. They will work but they're not ideal on our roads, especially if you plan to lower it! And if you're not yet planning to lower it then you will cause it will look like a 4WD otherwise!
