Hi,

The rear parking sensors on my rav-4 have stopped working, when i put the car into reverse they don't beep at all. I have read about a possible switch but have been unable to locate it. Has anybody got any other ideas as to what it could be?

On the 4.3 RAV the switch [round rocker type] is located just inside to the left of the rear load area roughly at same height as the door keeper and the curry hook. It's in the plastic trim between the door jamb and the vented, pull out access panel.

Other thoughts: Fuse? wire come loose?

Good luck

On my last one it was located inside one of the holes in the boot sides that would normally house a dog guard or other accessory.

I've been out and searched for the switch but it appears their is no switch. I have also checked all the fuses and all in perfect working order. Any other ideas?

Just pop the panel off and check the feed from the reversing lights. If that is OK the ECU is goosed.
