1999 Yaris

Hi I have recently got a cdx Yaris 1999 1000cc - i drove it to brussels yesterday and back and on approach to calais the fuel light started to flash - i limped it onto ferry and put petrol into it at dover - when i got onto M20 the orange engine warning light cam on - unfortunately i did not get a handbook with car does anyone know what this light means - it drove fine all the way back to essex

Any help would be appreciated

Will probably need connecting to diagnostics, don't know if you could disconnect and reconnect the Battery see if it goes off ?

Hi Kev, it could be something like a sensor gone titsup! 02 sensor or the MAF sensor maybe, but as Wayne mentions it will need to be plugged into a diagnostic machine to test the fault code. ;)
