If you take the note to a bank they may exchange it...

Sorry about the game but it does make the finish more fun crybaby.gif

You know , losing £50 is like a kick in the teeth and hell knows the cab trade is depressed right now and i haven't been earning sod all lately , but at the end of the day its material , as the saying go's its only money , " there's always tomorrow " is a well used and common phrase in the cab trade for when things go wrong , but.....Man-U winning and my blues losing is like hell on earth , tomorrow can't change that :crybaby::lol: ..... what was it that Bill Shankly once said “Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.”

Regards the £50 Raist , its worthless , no bank in the world would take in a dud and exchange it for a good'n , i can just imagine all the forgers making duds and going down to the bank to exchange them for real ones  , its my own fault anyway for not taking the time to check it properly , i simply held it up to the light and the water mark was as it should be so i put it in my wallet and gave the cheeky git £21 pound change , when i checked it this morning i found 6 faults with it , 1/ the broken silver line should look broken from the back but it should look like a continuous line when held up to the light from the front , 2/ its slightly in the wrong place , 3/ the lettering at the top of the note should feel slightly raised when you rub your finger over it and its not , 4/ when you rub the pinky coloured triangle at the base of the note on a white piece of paper the colour should rub off onto the paper , it doesn't , plus 2 other faults that will take too long to explain .

However , any ideas on how i could pass the said dud on , would be warmly appreciated  :lol2:

Just pass it on down the line. If the receiver notices anything wrong you can just say, quite truthfully, that you took it at night in the line of business & didn't see anything wrong with it [ small white lie there :shutit: ]

When I was in business, we were mainly a cash business & the Staff, very occasionally, took a suspicious note. I would just bundle it in with the rest when making the Lodgement & there was never a word said. I presume the Bank then paid it out to someone else

From your description, it seems to be a very good job, water mark & silver line there to an extent. There is a good chance you'll get away with it, & if not, plead innocence, as above

Go for a ride in a cab start crying about Chelsea losing and get the cabbie so stressed out that when you pay him with the dud note he will give you the change just to get rid of you yes.gif

Ha Ha , ones feeling much more chipper today , managed to spend the £50 at a well known supermarket chain , no UV Light machine , no Note Checker Pen , and one very happy cabbie , went home and had a barbeque , opened another bottle of red in the sunshine , then checked the latest scores to see that the ar'se got beat at Wigan :yahoo: ... every cloud has a silver lining , and if there is a god up there ( and i'm sure there is ) then :D prayer1141.jpg Spurs will win their next game away at Man-u .
