Thinking About Buying A Used 4runner?

Hello,

I am thinking about buying a used 1997 Toyota 4runner SR5 with 79,000 miles on it. I did a carfax search and have asked the owner to have a compression test done. Anything else you can think of that I should have checked out? Transmission issues, or anything that is an achilles heel for that model?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Rust! Any signs of it? none good. everything else should be ok or easy and inexpensive to fix, lots of aftermarket parts for those out there. Newer 4runners are the cat's *****. Say '99 and up.
