Avensis 53 Reg Head Gasket Oil Leak

Hi guys, this is my first topic and will need your advise please.

I just got my Avensis 1.8 T3x Petrol from the dealer, they've noticed a minor oil leak from Head Gasket. I'm going to Holland and German next week with the family, i live in Plymouth UK. The dealer said that it shouldn't be a problem to take the car as long as I check and bring it back to the dealer for further checks when I'm back the week after.

I'm just a bit concerned whether it's safe to travel with it, and also whether this will cost me a lot when I'm back? Looking online it sounds like I'm looking around £2-3K ?

I'm not sure I should pay for it though because my model had a known issue with burning oil and 2 years ago it had some work done on it by the same dealer, and it looks like the problem has come back! Am I right in thinking that maybe they should repaid it without any charge since there is a possibility that the job was not done properly to begin with?

Apologies for the late reply, I just got back from holiday.

I took it back to the dealer, they've cleaned the area and left it for the day, when I picked it up they said that there wasn't anything wrong!!!

I drove approx. 1300 miles and oil level was the same and didn't lose any, however, I had to top up the coolant (Anti Freeze) once or twice.

Sounds like head gasket on its way out if there are no coolant leaks elsewhere very expensive mine did the block aswell looking at a bill for approx 7k still fighting Toyota at the moment as car only 2 years old 70.000 miles.
