Hi... I bought a Carina AT 192 Car and the YOM is 1995. And it is a Automatic Transmission car. When I start the car no indicators are showing but once I drive for few kilometers, the Engine check light comes in. Once the indicato come in, I feel the the gear changing is not taking place properly. But this indicator does not come in when I stop the car and accelerate for more than 3500 rpm... Then I took the car to a Garage and once they connected the datacable and checked the enging, the report said the Knock sensor fault. Then I changed the knock sensor but the problem is still there. What could be the possible problem???

By putting a jumper (paperclip) across two pins in the diagnostic plug, you can get the check engine light to flash the fault codes.

It's possible there was more than one fault or the mechanic read the codes wrong.
