Bluetooth Steering Controls

Hi, Just ourchased an Auris 1.6 CVT Multimode with bluetooth. However the car came without the bluetooth from abroad and the Toyota Distributor in Malta told me that the kit is installed locally and does not come installed from Factory, which I think it is odd. When they installed my bluetooth, the steering controls for bluetooth were installed with the radio control buttons and not the separated bluetooth controls. When I complained they said that since our model is right hand drive the bluetooth does not come with separate steering controls.

Anyone can verify or shed some lught to this?

Hello and welcome!

First thing, Multimode Auris cannot be CVT, as CVT is different type of transmission which is not used on Auris.

Then regarding the bluetooth. My car (LHD) has bluetooth installed too. It wasn't installed at the factory, the dealership installed it among many other extra options before giving me the car. It is totally normal. My bluetooth is being controlled using audio control buttons aswell, same as the ones used for radio volume and channel changing. This is totally normal too. Seems like there's nothing wrong with your car.
