Ipod Connection

Hello,

New guy here, just recently bought a 2004 D4 avensis t-spirit, very happy with the car i must say, enjoying all the gadgets and luxuries that come as standard. I have had company audi's and bmw's before and i must say the 2004 Toyota has more gadgets and gizmos than a 2008 bmw, that says alot if you ask me..

Anyway i was wondering how to connect an ipod to the stereo? The one i have in my car is the standard silver cd & tape deck player. Can anyone who has any knowledge about this help me? I am really getting fed up of burning cd's all the time, never mind swapping them whilst driving..

Any response will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the club: Yup, I'm still happy with my Avensis - but mainly because it is bland and unremarkable... the wife still prefers the sadly now-demised Lexus GS300...or the ex-Police Omega 3ltr manual...

On mine Mr T fitted the standard, really-not-cheap-at-all Toyota connection kit and my iPod now lives in the glove-box. But beware, on my TNS700 the way to get beyond 1st 6 playlists ain't obvious...

Suggest you ask Mr T to demo how it works first, or fit a alternative unit...

Cheers!

Lodger

If you look on the topic about the AC (still on the front page) you'll see a iPod setup, apparently the controls on the steering wheel work to change the song! Looks very cool. Rossi46 is the user that has uploaded it, prob best asking them for their advice!

I have at the moment just a radio transmitter connected to mine with a bit of velcro on the back of my iPod sticking it next to the handbreak using the read electrical socket!
