Hi,

I am getting a squeaking from my front brakes (I think its just the right front brake), when my steering wheel to held slight off center to the right. Only happens at slow speeds. Any ideas how I can fix this?, its really annoying.

You probably just need to apply a little copper grease to the back of the pads or your caliper is sticking slightly. It could also be that your pads are low and your wear indicator is scratching your brake disc, check this when you take them off below.

If its like my Corolla, take the front right wheel off. Remove the two 12mm bolts with a socket preferably, pull the caliper off and rest it on the suspension arm. Remove the pads to make sure there are no stones jammed i between, be careful not to touch the front of the pad and smear a thin layer of copper grease across the back.

Remove the sliders from their rubber protectors, they are the things that allow the the caliper to move freely. Clean them and apply some regular grease (not copper) and pop them back in. Reassemble.

Some people argue about putting grease on the back of the pads, but you will find most local garages do this to cure brake squeel.

Good luck!
