Should I Buy A Corolla?

Greetings

I know nothing about Corolla's but I'm going to have a look at one that's been offered to me on the cheap.

It is not this car but same model, year, colour and mileage but lots cheaper! :D

http://www.usedtoyotacarsforsale.co.uk/corolla/8

So it's a 1.3 SE V reg 3 door

Although not blown away by the looks of standard Corolla's I believe them to be reliable and refined. So at what will be a good price I am tempted. I have a couple of questions ....

Apart from putting some alloys on it is there anything simple/subtle I can do to enhance the front-on view? headlights/grills?

I currently drive a 1.6 mk7 escort, will a 1.3 corolla seem sluggish in comparison?

I know this car will be a fantastic example at a cheap price, should I take the plunge and become a Corolla owner?

Thanks for any replies

You shud definitely go 4 the corolla they r great cars. i would think the speed will be conparable with your escort i doubt it would be any slower the 1.3 engine is a great little unit i sed to have a Starlet and they have the same engine. I have a G6R Corolla now and they r really nice to drive and as you say refined. Its not even a risk wen u r a buying a toyota they r so well made. i say go 4 it.

Thanks for the replies!

Knowlson - your Corolla certainly looks to have benefited from some loving attention (and no little £ I wager! )

Surfice to say after a test drive it was a no-brainer. The car should be in my posession within a week!

Cheers
