Recommended Posts

This may be a stupid question, but Im about to buy a KO downpipe and B-Pipe and The website that shows you how to do it has the engine out of the bay... Is it possible to install these items with the engine still in the car???

In a word yes, you can fit with engine in car,

it's a fiddly b*tch of a job but keep with it n you'll be fine,

Just wondering why you opted for that downpipe, i would of gone with a flexi downpipe, either berk (which i have) or a Tb Dev one, they are far better than the solid pipe., less prone to cracking.

Just lack of knowledge... Looked all over for a downpipe... Didnt wanna buy a crappy one off of eBay... Found this one, and sounded solid. Plus it came with the B-Pipe and all the attaching hardware with installation instructions... Saw some reviews online and they liked it... so... Just sounded easy. which i know it wont end up being, but oh well... thanks for the help! Im sure ill need more as Im about to do a lot of things by myself with help from friends... We'll see how it goes.

And its out (as well as the tranny)... Compared to the transmission, this downpipe install was easy even with the engine in! Hardest part was Takin the stock exhaust off of the cat, Had to cut the nuts off with a Recipricating Saw... And i stripped a bolt on the Cat to downpipe so i had to drop it as a whole... The part i thought would be worse (the nuts holding the pipe on) Wernt bad at all, but i prepped with like 4 days of PB blaster... Well it went well, just thought id post some pics
