Dash Light Dimming

Ok my fault I should have checked before buying, but it is 20 years since I last had a car without it, it did not enter my mind it would have forgotten, just where is the dash light dimming control on an auris?

Is there some fancy software option dialog I can use to tone it down?

Haven't tried this on my Auris yet but I'm sure it's the same as the Corolla etc.

Turn the lights on and press the "trip" button on the instrument panel... as you cycle through a new option is there, a set of bars. When you are on that option just press and hold the trip button and it keeps cycling round 5 (I think) preset levels.
