well picked up my second MR2 for spares yesterday.

looking round it and decided to confirm some of the measurements that i had to ask for.

strut top pitch (distance between centres) bang on.

strut top hight above subframe mr2 445mm mine (using measurements i ask for 540mm DOH!!!

oh well that explains the low stance at the mo lol.

so out with the grinder and make some adjustments.

hey ho, no one said it would be easy. just shows you cant trust some people with a tape measure :(

not breaking any more, im breaking the rolla :(

looking at the chassis there is too much internal corrosion of the chassis rails to be viable.

going to put the engine in the MR2 this time.

going to try and get a 1.3 GL AE-92 and do a 3S conversion on that instead.

tis a sad end but still.

hou have you got any MR2 lights (fronts or rev 3 rears?)

No mate sorry, all I have left is a set of rev 2 rears, you are welocme to them for nowt!

NO WAY you cannot say that is the death of the rolla!

'fraid so :(

TBH i cant justify spending what'll most likely be another £4k on it.

it would be unique but the MR2 will be just as quick.

like i say the Shell has started to decay internally. i could have it dipped and re e-coated but thats £2k straight off.

time for it to be laid to rest. :crybaby: :(

Yeah I see your point, and at least you have the piece of mind that it is made to be RWD

Well the Rev2 lights are just living in my garage if you need them dude

ok dude, really want rev 3 ones though as thats what the car is but rev 2 ones may tide me over.

still got some work to do on it before im ready for putting it on the road any way.

My apologies if i got it wrong Lee,

But i can't see me intentionally getting it 95mm out!, maybe i need to go on a tape measure training course.

I feel quite crap about that, sorry dood.

not your fault dude. to be fair i should have measured the one i broke but i forgot before i let the scrap man have it

in fairness my Shell is a little too tired for this project, looking at how much ive put into it and how much this project would cost to complete i need to be sensible (god i sound old)

any way a 500+bhp MR2 will be just as awesome

This still makes me feel so damn sad dude.... I really don't want you to get rid of this, they are just too rare these days.
