hi peeps,

my name is gerbert sonder and i live in holland

at first i have to say i don't own a yaris or even a toyota my self.

i only came to this forum for a problem that came up @ work.

since im a engine mechanic/overhauler, @ kleine staarman, bornebroek.

today i was converting a Japanese 1SZ-FE engine to a French 1.

everything wend good till we had to check the oil pressure.

@ 740 rpm it only went up to 0.5 bar.

the oil filter and the filter casing are both cleaned and checked.

the bypass valve has been checked,

and the pump is checked has less clearing as a new oil pump of a rf5c mazda engine...

my question is what is the oil pressure when the engine is idling

cheers

hmmm iff the calculation is right what i had done then the pressure should be right :o

the needle only popped from the 0 bar to almost 0.5 bar.

when idle it had to be 4.3 psi thats like 0.296474564 bar..

Did you Check the Pressure at the "Oil Pressure Sender port" as Toyota Illustration Attached?
