Auris In Snow

Anybody else had trouble with their Auris in snow? I love my Auris but its performance in snow is frankly embarrasing. Virtually no traction! There were several days during the winter when I couldn't get out of my driveway. Tyres are new and at the right pressure and its not me, I have plenty experience of driving in snow. Next door neighbour has a Yaris and he managed to get out and about during the weeks of snow and my son has an old Focus, he had no difficulty getting out. Think I'll have to trade in for an Urban Cruiser?

Welcome to the club thumbsup.gif

You could try this product, it comes from Norway and they know a thing or two about snow there. yes.gif

More importantly it's only £ 50.00.

Auris is front drive but I had no problem driving on the snow with winter tyres fitted- applying all the snow driving rules as for any other car. I have summer tyres in UK so in January driving was little a challenging but still possible.

You say you had the correct tyre pressures, I assume you are talking about figures given on the sticker on the B pillar. lowering tyre pressure for snow and ice gives a larger footprint so you will get more grip

Do you have traction control and stability control? If so then there should be no reason why you get stuck on your drive way, these electronic systems will keep you moving and in a straight line
