Auris T180 Service Costs

Hi all

New member to the forum, but I've visited this site regularly for a long time now. There's a lot of good stuff on here.

But it's time for my first question. I've owned my 07 Auris T180 for nearly 2 years now, and I have just received a quotation for it's 30K intermediate Service at £146.

Does that sound a little expensive to anybody? I'm not saying I won't pay it, but I recall I only paid £164 for the full 20k service. It just doesn't seem logically priced to me.

Am I allowed to name the Dealer here? I'm not looking to name and shame obviously, just looking for a price comparison that somebody possibly local to me had gotten from the same place.

Thanks in advance

You will find that it is a good price for any service (if it is official Toyota franchise).

Got to say if this is the price of a service, then dont complain. I now have a Auris SR180 that has done 6200 miles. Previously I owned a Renault scenic 1.9 DCI and the first service cost me £530.00. The price is very reasonable. Buy a Renault, and then see the sevice costs mount up. It cost me £600 for an EGR valve replacement, which I have under good authority is appx £50 for a clean out at Toyota. At 70000 miles I had to have a steering rack on my previous scenic 40 percent paid for by Renault UK, still cost me £1400. Give me £147.00 gbp anytime.

Isnt this why we buy Toyotas???? Cheap service and reliable product

On our Mazda 2 the intermediate 12,500 service was £ 150 and the full 25,00 mile service would have been £ 299 had Mazda UK not paid for it as compensation for problems we'd had. This for a 1.4 supermini. I think the 2 year service on the present Honda Jazz is around £ 450

I'd say shop around.. on my 2.0 D auris ( NOT a 180 by the way )...

I have been quoted between 200 and 310 for the 40,000 service.

one guy claims to have the service done for 180ish - but the garage he quoted, actually quoted me 255 !

All of quotes are from toyota dealers in the midlands.
