Car Alarm

Hi everyone, hopefully you will be able to give me some advise. My car alarm started going off randomly, its ok for a couple hours after the car was driven, and then it starts going of, once it is reset it starts going off again every 5 minutes. i have sprayed with WD40 all doors and bonnet, boot as well but nothing. There was one car Battery connector cable bit loose so i tightened up, didnt help. So i ended up locking car with the key. Any advise what might be wrong? Car Battery? Havent said that it looks pretty new but dont know it might be dying. Thanks

Darius

As you no doubt know the alarm works on voltage drop, so i would suggest that first thing to look at would be the Battery, is it holding the charge maybe a bad earth connection causing a problem.

I might sound bit thick, but how will i check that the Battery is holding the charge?

Thanks
