mmmmm thats bitchy  You asked and you got my thoughts  If you did not want opinions then don't ask for them. This is TOC.... for ALL Toyota cars.... not just, as you put it, 'old school'.

Oh yes.... as for old school I suggest you look at my signature, I too am into old school.... see its not just you ;)

Sorry mate but I am entitled to my opinion on here as much as anyone else and if you don't like it then don't post up such things, mmmm I still don't like it

rubbish ????? the car is 35 yers old and look at the condition its in... i am not a purist. the car was rotten when i brought it 14 years ago and would be on the scrap heap if i had not saved it so if you lot are true toyota boys you should appreciate the efforts made in keeping these rare cars on the roads.

dont mind critisium but just think when people have put alot of hard work in maybe nasty views should be kept to yourself.

Firstly, chill out! You asked for opinions and then slag off anyone who disagrees with you.

From the picture it doesn't give much away in the way of condition of the rest of the car. But the condition of the from looks good.

I love old corollas, and each to their own, but I wouldn't have cut a hole out of the bonnet for that. If I wanted power I would have gone for something with a turbo so you could surprise a few people.

Does have a very american look to it, whereas I prefer JDM y0!

Sorry..........I do not like it.

Is it road legal

It certainly is not at all pedestrian friendly with an unprotected engine and front tyres which protrude outside the wheel arches

However do you manage to get it insured for the road!

looks good bud, as said not sure about american style but each to there own, got any more pics? done any 1/4 mile racing with it ?

Firstly, all you've posted is a picture of the front end and asked for comments.... you've got some, if you can't handle people saying they dislike it then don't ask for opinions... everybody's tastes are different.

Secondly, you mention the car was rotten and we should appreciate the effort you put into restoring it.... maybe if your first post had included a history of the car and the restoration work you've put into it you would have got some comments about that also...

If you've managed to save it from the scrapper then i applaud you, always good to see classic's saved... but the american style bonnet/engine isn't to my taste, not a nasty comment, just my personal opinion....

Glad to see another old-skool motor kept far away from the scrappies but the inlet isn't to my taste. As mentioned before, I don't think the American styling suits it, although I do like TB's I reckon that they look best under the bonnet on small cars.

Rims are cool and love the paint, more pictures would be better to make a more accurate judgement mate. ;)

I hope you don't take offence, I haven't just slated your motor and not given reason. ;)

thanks for the comments i will take them on board. i do have a bonnet cowl to enclose the s/c. as for usa look the only thing to me that looks usa is the engine but even that is not american i also have a s12 turbo engine to drop in and another uncut bonnet and 6 sets of different old retro jap alloys could turn it back to standard if i wanted.

most of the old stuff example the celica 1970's ra28 gt was basically the same shape as a ford mustang gt350 - gt500 the 70's stuff was inspired by american stuff.

the wheels are 1974 appilence from a datsun 240z refurbed i also have a set of impul hoshino's with the black cross in the middle.

anyway sorry if i upset anyone feels very clicky on here!

anyone on here got an old 70s toyota or is it all modern stuff?

Cool, pics of the engine, get 'em up here!

I have a 1989 AE92, with a 4A-GE TVIS but dunno if you consider that old-skool lol, I know I do.

My friend.... we gave our opinions and I am sorry that you took it the way you initially did, but heck that is the past.

I am impressed that you have saved a car from the scrapheap and made it once more roadworthy. I have a serious soft spot for old/classic cars hence I bought one for myself. As others have expressed, I would prefer to see your car kept in original state but you are entitled to mod it the way you want it. I am not the type that likes car designs drastically altered but I can appreciate the work put into them.

Anyway, the upshot is you have a classic car the way you want it and more power to you for the hours of work put into it  It simply is not the way I would have done it
