2006 Prado Sound System Problems

Hi my names Nick and i own my own custom car shop RADIOTEC East Rand Customs.

I hav a Prado landcruiser from a customer that has no sound coming from the soundsystem.

It switches on, u can go through the menu and work the aircon, nav, tuner and even play cd,s in the shuttle, but no sound.

This system has the nav unit under the driver seat and the amplifier under the passenger seat.

Iv stripped out the entire front unit , touch screen and climate control to see if the plugs wher not connecting properly.

I hav noticed that when i turn the volume up n down the little liquid crystel volume control blocks do not get bigger or smaller to show that you are turning it up or down.

Has anyone ever heard or experienced this, is there a special type of mute in the system that i cant find. Any help or advice wud be appreciated please.
