Intermittent Smoking T180

Hello

My T180 (2007) is the first Toyota and first diesel car for me.

I have noticed every now and again it seems to smoke quite a bit from the exhaust , in then stops and is fine.

Are they meant to do this? Or might I have a bit of a problem?

Many Thanks for your help.

Mine did this a few months ago, but has been OK since. It was only the once, for about a minute or so. It has been in for a routine service in the meantime though. When it happened, I did search the forums, and opinions ranged from it was the D-Cat cleaning itself to something (sorry can't remember what) about to give!!

I think it is just the D-CAT particulate filter purging itself too.
