Timing Marks On 2C-Te Avensis

changeing timing belt but soemone has moved the camshaft could someone show mw a pic of the camshaft sprocket marks and the relation where they point as autodata pic i have dosent explain to well

it has a mark on the face of the sprocket and a raised line and a dot at diffrent places on the sprocket

i have the crank and injection pump lines up but cant seem to get the camshaft correct

What do you mean "Someone Has Moved the camshaft" , Just line all the marks up as per AutoData,, Use the raised line on the sprocket face & there should be a corresponding mark on the side of the head. As I understand it,, No locking tools are required to change the belt on this engine,, So it must mean that when the camshaft mark is in the correct position all the valves are closed ,,Otherwise valve spring tension would move the camshaft as soon as you released the belt tension,,

If you are in any doubt at all !!! line the marks up where you think they should go,, put the belt on and turn the engine over by hand. If there is no contact anywhere IE " Valves & Pistons " you should be good to go. I know its a pain but if someone else has moved the camshaft this is the only way to be sure that your not going to wreck your motor
