57 Plate Rav4 2.2 (Is It A 4.3) ?

I pick up my 57 Plate RAV4 2.2 38k MIles - does that make it a 4.3 derivative...?

If so, does that have a Cam Belt or Chain....

If it's Chain, is it a for the life of the Engine??

Its a 4.3 with a chain and as long as you keep that oil in good order the chain will last a lifetime.

Looking at the instructions for gearbox etc - i will be doing it myself

Hi just to mention oil, if its a DCAT make sure u use the low ash oil

Sorry for what might be a silly question - how do I know if it's a DCAT??

Just add abit more detail to your profile so we can see what model you have. In 2007 only T180/SR180s were D-CATs. In the current range the SR150 with auto box has it too.
