Avensis 2001 2.0 D4D Cambelt Covers Foam Pad

Hi all

Hope you are all well. I have just fitted a replacement Cambelt kit and water pump to my 2001 Avensis D4D. I have a small (8 inches long and half inch thick) shaped foam pad left over and cannot figure out where it goes. It came off with the lower Cambelt cover and looks like its there to stop noise or dust. Could easily leave it out but its really frustrating not being able to figure out where it came from!

Any ideas would will be greatly appreciated.
