Hi aygo owners. I had my aygo since late 05'. Today I've noticed a weird sound coming from my engine. Three days ago i accidentally washed my engine with cold water after 20 minutes of use. The thing is that i don't know if i broke anything or did something wrong. Does anyone faced this situation before? Also today i've placed new tyres and there is a grinding sound whenever i hit the brakes. Is this normal as well? Please help me. Thank you

How much water did you wash the engine with? I would have thought you would have been really unlucky to have got enough water into the air intake to cause an issue. ( I once drove my unprepared Discovery through bonnet deep flood water and the airfilter was only a bit damp!) Is there any smoke from the exhaust? This may indicate head gasket failure from water getting into the cylinder through the air intake. Water doesn't compress so is forced out through the head gasket.

Regarding the tyres, I have heard of cheap brands making strange noises (and displaying other odd characteristics!!) but have never experienced it myself. I would remove the wheels and check the brakes before doing much else.
