Hi Guys, hope somebody can shed some light on a problem I seem to have.

A couple of days ago my car seemed to struggle when I put my foot down in relatively low revs (2-4k). It does this in most gears but is more noticeable in higher gears which is a pain on motorways. If feels a bit like when you try and set of in a too high a gear.

Also today as I was driving I noticed that the ABS light has come on and remains on permanent. Im not sure if this is linked to my other issue or is just a coincidence.

The car has done quite a few miles (170k) and is still on its original clutch e.t.c.

If you need any more info let me know.

It may be worthwhile checking to see if you have a hot wheel after driving as the combination of an indicated ABS fault and sluggish performance point to a brake sieze possibility.

Cheers Fitter, I'll have a look next time I'm out. With regards to the ABS light I have been keeping an eye on it and it seems to come on after I have been driving for a few miles then remains on for the rest of the journey.

Cheers

Hi, just thought I would update the thread to le tyou know what the issue was. Ended up taking it to a garage when it was diagnosed as a cyclinder misssfire. Had new HT Leads and plugs and power issue back to normal but still getting the ABS light.
