D4D Power Lose And Thanks

Well the diagnosis was no power until just over 2000 rpm which was a nightmare on a 1000 mile round trip with hardly any tools.

But after a quick trawl on google one of my suspicions was confirmed, the EGR valve, but without reading here first I would probably have taken the wrong part off.

So many thanks to all contributors of the forum and thankfully no fruitless trips to Mr.T.

Looks like I'm going to have to dust the toolbox down and start getting dirty again.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

edit: I was very careful when cleaning, using a hoover to clean up as much debris as possible but has anbody a recommendation or is there such an additive than will help clean out the unaccessible crevices I couldn't get to.

If you mean the 2003/05 model (engine code 1CD-FTV) its to the right (Battery side) of the engine bay by the inlet manifold under a large black metal pipework unit. It's a pain to access.
