Hybrid Warrenty - Auris To Get 8 Years / 100K Miles

I noticed this on the Toyota blog for the Auris. Like the G2 Prius the Auris is to get 8 year / 100K hybrid warrenty.

The G3 Prius fell to 5 years / 60K like the Lexus hybrids.

I wonder if this will sway more people to the Auris?

Can't say I'm overly happy about all this indecisiveness that Toyota are displaying. Either it's "mainstream tech", and 3/5 years is good enough... or it's not.

That said, at least us that bought it with the shorter warranty can pay for the extra when the time comes.
