Hi. My wife now has bluetooth in her new Aygo. I am use to it in my Rav4 so understand the basics of setting it up.

I have paired hers up with her Samsung steel phone and the only problem she is happening is that she has to manually connect it instead of it automatically doing it like it does in my car. Neither the phone manual or bluetooth manual cover this as both say it should happen automatically. Can anyone help please?

I have had another look and there is no option under the bluetooth options to set automatically that I can see. Have emailed Samsung.

What exact type of Samsung is it?

I know that some specific Samsungs have a glitch that doesn't

connect them properly to a wide range of BlueTooth-systems...

Before searching for other devices, ensure that you have activated the bluetooth

wireless feature. To find and pair with other Bluetooth-enabled devices,

1 In Idle mode, access Menu mode and open the application menu.

2 Access the bluetooth menu.

3 Select the function to search for new devices (or search again, if you have recently perforemd a search for Bluetooth-enabled devices).

NN The device will search for and list Bluetooth-enabled devices in the area.

4 Select a device name.

5 If necessary, enter a bluetooth PIN or the preset PIN of the selected device.

When the owner of the other device enters the same code, pairing is complete.

NN Some devices, especially headsets or hands-free car kits, may have a fixed

Bluetooth PIN, such as 0000. If the other device has a PIN, you must enter it.

Hi. Done all this and it is fine apart from the fact I have to manually say yes to a question on the phone asking if I want to connect.

In the "Paired devices" on your phone, is there not an option "always connect" to this device?

There are issues with certain phones connecting to bluetooth devices, try downloading the latest software for your phone

Whan you pair, doe you put the Carkit in Dicoverable mode and add it to the phone,

or do you let the phone be discoverable and connect the carkit to the phone (if possible)?

Also, on some carkits (like a lot of Parrot-systems) there are specific connection-modes

for some brands and/or types of phones. If you don't use those they won't connect properly.
