G'day

I got a nice stone chip in the middle of my headlight, will that make it fail the mot?

Headlight works fine but i've only just fitted a £150 new headlight last month and dont want to do it again :(

Think that might be a fail dude :( :( Depends on how good they are at checking the car over and if they notice it

Both my fog lights are now cracked but when the MOT was up last year it did not fail the bloke who did it said fogs are ok headlights cant have cracks so on went my headlight protectors :lol:

It would just be my luck that it fails on that one little stone chip.

I got the dude coming Thursday to change my windscreen so if i give him a cash back hander maybe he can fill in the little dink just like he does on the windscreen :help:

I havent mentioned anything because i seem to change my mind more times than i change my socks.

I was looking at IS200's but the cheapest i've seen is £7500 and it wasnt the spec i wanted.

Also i wanted something faster. And when i went to the lexus garage i drove an LS400 just for the hell of it.

Loved everything about the car. Checked the insurance and its the same as an is200 but with 260bhp and a 0-60 of 7secs. Not bad for a car that weights near 2tonns.

Anyway im gonna bling it up with 3 TV's, a dvd player, gamecube and......................a fridge (for beer of course). :D

Anyway where as with other cars i've been thinking about i wasnt quite sure, with this im 100% sure. If you drive them carefully you can get 35mpg out of them! Which is amazing for a 4ltr V8 32v engine

Sold the GT4 now so im just waiting for the change of hands to come about hopefully this saturday.

Hardest thing is finding a good series 3 LS400 with sensible mileage and for my budget of approx 5k.

According to lexus and quite a few owners 35mpg is very possible if driven at constant motorway speeds without over revving the engine.

Anyway the way i drove the GT4 i averaged about 10mpg  So anything over 20mpg would be good.
