Is there a special tool available for the removal of the oil filter housing for use when doing an oil change? Or what do other peeps use??

you can purchase tool to loosen the filter, can be got at most motor factors. usually in the form of a strap of canvas or a chain.

in a emergency a screwdriver or other sharp implement can be driven through the case and used as a lever to turn

fiter.

do not use tool to tighten fiter up when replacing it, fit only hand tight.

also put a film of oil on the fiter oil seal before fitting.

It's a paper filter that sits inside an alloy casing that needs to be unscrewed first then remove the filter from the housing.

do a search for a 63mm 14 flute filter cup on the net i got one for 6 quid on flea bay trust me you will need it.
