When I detailed the car, I done the wheels along with the rest of the car with Fairy Liquid (To remove previous wax, etc) and when sealing my wheels I put on some Poorboys Sealant that is working well... this is the stuff I used.

They now get washed with the rest of the car using Megs Gold Class.

I thought washing up liquid was a no no because it contains salt which corrodes the alloy ?

Use some acid free Bilberry wheel cleaner whose strength is dilutable suit and seal with Wheel Seal & Shine which is one of the best regardless of price.

Washing up liquid is a horrible solution to wash a car with, but to remove all previous waxes and sealants it's spot on.

Every couple of months I wash the car with washing up liquid, clay it and then reapply a couple of layers of wax. Gets a good clean and consistent layer of protection that way.

I have this and it is good but the best thing I did was swap all 4 brake pads for ebc greenstuff as these are much cleaner than the oem Toyota pads
