The Cross Atlantic Relationship

Oh yes we have a great historic relationship with our cousins over the pond in the USA, recent history has proven that :)

I love the US and the people I meet there but I wonder how strong the bond really is if this Daily Mail article is true

Despite the current feeling not all Americans are fat, selfish, money grabbing morons.

I agree with Steve, the majority of people are really nice but some of their leaders appear to believe their own PR.

It's as though they have lost direction and need something or someone to lash out at.

Take a deep breath American we're still friends thumbsup.gif

yeah while the people of America are probably nice their government seems intent on ruining all outside trade links.

only today on the news they are now complaining that BP CEO has been seen yachting with his son!!

is the guy not allowed to have down time with his family?

after all what happened on the oil rig was an accident, workers were killed. it wasn't like it was a deliberate act, poor safety or not.

think its about time that our government left the yanks to it in Iraq and pulled out, if this is all the thanks we get.

BP is a major source of UK funds, ruining it (which is what seems to be happening) will only be bad for those of us who live on this isle!

Also what annoys me is the fact that he thinks ill of us despite the fact the majority are nice people and also, it was our ancestors that did it!

They reserve all right to be furious at the men who did it, but that bares no reflection upon the British population as a whole.

I have to agree with you Lee, why should we try if they're just being monumental cocks!?...

All this because USA drew with England in the World Cup      :P :P

WEhilst Engerland thumps it out with USA, we Scots have slaughtered the Argentinians again! This time on their own ground! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: And yes, we did it with a rejected English manager!

Now, who owns Fujitsu Siemens and the awful mess and mega billions they make for supplying the English government with un-performing computer systems??

It is noticed that you choose to ignore the match between England and Australia  .... we too beat them in their own back yard  Maybe it was only by one point but then Oz and Argentina do play the gentleman's game at a different level  ;)

I have chatted to a good friend in the US and he says that a great many Americans worry about their new president.... it was suggested that he has a hidden agenda and that is one that does not have the true well being of the US in mind  I wonder what is to come in the next couple of years
