Buying Advice T180 Or Sr?

Hello Auris People,

Currently own a corolla T sport and spend most of my time in the corolla room. But I'am looking at changing the TS to something a bit newer but still with resonable performace etc... i love the corolla so the auris seems like a sensible option.

However i need a little auris help and i bet someone here can advise. what is the difference between the T180 and the SR180. i dont seem to be able to see what the extra couple of thousand goes towards??

plus any more tips on getting a 2.2 D4D i should look out for?

The best one for spec will be an early 08 SR180 as the 1st SR180 were really T180's with SR180 spec, you will know if you come across an early SR180 as it will have the T180 keyless entry and sunroof were as the later SR180's dont have any of this. Only thing to watch out for really or know what you will get is to expect around 35mpg local and about 40-45mpg on a run and TBH we are very happy with ours except for the MPG as dropped around 5MPG over the last 12 months to which Toyota are taking this seriously and currently working with us and the car to find a problem. if you are really interested a user here oldschool has his T180 for sale and it looks well looked after ;)

So why post a dumb comment? it might be a good idea if you spent more of your time on a VW forum like it has already been suggested to you if you cannot post any thing worth while.

I went from a T Sport to a T180, at the time there wasn't a choice between the SR and the T as there was only the 'T'.

Looking back I would still have chosen the T180 because of the extra kit that you get stock, like smart keyless and sunroof. You get the spoiler, darkened rear windows and lowered suspensions on the stock SR180, for me the T180 still has better value personally.

You will miss the T Sport's noise and the lift, to this day (nearly 3 years on) I still miss the lift... :(

Still, you will love the torque and for me I love the balance between a little bit of brute and much better economy compared to the T Sport. If you drive the T180 hard it can be rewarding, but do not expect the same experience as from the T Sport.
