Help Needed With A Mk 6 Hilux

Hi everyone,

I had a bit of bad luck last week and managed to blow my engine and I'm looking for help to find a replacement. It is a 2006 Hilux Vigo 3.0 D4D Auto.

Not 100% sure what has happened yet but the mechanic has just removed the cylinder head and it is cracked in various places. I was cruising along the motorway pulling a trailer when there was a clatter and a bang and she ground to a halt.

I imported the vehicle from Thailand back in 2006 and it has been a great bus, serviced every 5000 miles and covered 80k miles but it has worked hard, often towing loads up to 3 ton.

I need to find a replacement engine fairly quick but I'm not interested in a recon. I've been hearing some real horror stories while doing some research.

Anyway, if you can help in any way, I'd really appreciate it.

Regards

Unhappy Chris
