Anyone replace the middle section on a 1.0 vti?

I have done back boxes on other cars just need to know if its a straight fit without exhaust paste or gaskets?

I did notice where it meets the backbox it has 2 bolts going through springs, not seen the otherside yet but any pointers would be good :)

Managed to do it the other day but it did involve cutting the original exhaust as it was one piece to the back box being the original fitment and only just failed at 10 years

This baby had the exhaust chopped in a few seconds using a 4inch metal blade:

Just needed to cut at the point where from the cat towards the back met the middle section silencer, no measuring required just cut at the weld and theres plenty of tube to fit into the aftermarket section :)

As usual with fitting exhaust pieces the bolts holding the backbox and middle section together were rusted badly and needed wire brushing and soaking overnight in a good dose off wd40 before trying to free them off using a long bar on a socket to provide a decent amount of torque without wrecking the bolt head. If possible using a hexagon socket provides better grip than conventional sockets which in my case would have chewed the head causing more problems, be warned.
