crawled out of my cupboard (office) to look underneath the rav to find its pouring with rain.

wishbone?

from memory, I can't remember seeing a wishbone.... theres a trailing arm style of set up at the rear of the 94 RAVs - the front is a strut with spring and shocker...located by ???

Whatever - I'd guess the front would be pretty much the same but I wonder whether the 5 door rear suspension is a bit upgraded to take the extra weight?? Fundamentally, I thought the 4.1 RAVs were similar until the upgrade in 2000.

I'm harking back to the times of upper and lower wishbones such as on the old 1966 Humber sceptre.... in the beloved hayne smanual it describes it a s a control arm.... unles you've hit a mine, then I'd guess all you'd need is the bushes.

And I don't see why it would be different between the 3 and 5 door, given its the same front as far as I know.... same ngine, gearbox etc etc.
