New / Recon Short Motor For 2002 Avensis 1.8Vvti

Hi All,

Following my last service (and having read all the details on this issue here and elsewhere), it now seems clear that I need to replace my faulty engine. I'm trying to get Toyota to cover this but if they don't I'll still get the work done, I've been quoted around £1,300 for this work to be done, this would be for a new / reconned short block motor.

I'm hoping this will give me many more years service for this car, everything else on the car is great (plus just spent nearly £1,700 on the last service and parts).

Any advice or thoughts from anyone who's had this done?
