Static Shocks!

Hello all.

Maybe I am alone with this? But lately I am getting some real nasty static shocks from my little friend! Is this happening to anyone else out there in iQ land? If so, is there a way of reducing the charge without having to resort to those silly little strips that hang from the bumper? It's got the point that refueling the lil' one up is filling me with fear of blowing up!!!

Look forward to your responses folks!! :help:

Phil

Hang that same silly strip under your car and no one will ever notice it.

You als can get keychains which you can keep against the doors but if that's an option?

If you live in the UK, dont worry because the warm weather is bound to stop soon and then the problem will go away :)

It's the dry air in the car and you rubbing against the synthetic fabric seats. Switch off the air con and you'll be fine again (but hot).Like IronIron says - once the warm weather is gone the problem will be gone. Until we get a really cold winter. Then it starts again!

I had the same problem and it was down to the new shoes I had bought which were 100% rubber soles.... so avoid...
