Hello peeps

Just a quick introduction. My name is Charlotte, known as Charlie and my OH is Chris. We have a Corolla AE111 WRC Edition and a DC5. The Corolla isnt a true G6R but it may as well be, we bought a 'rough' G6R a few weeks back and have transfered everything over including the rear disc brakes, strut brace and complete dash. Just the gearbox, bonnet and side skirts to go then we will be selling the actual G6R for spares

The car will have a 4AGE 20V Blacktop engine by the end of the year. She is track spec as is the DC5 although they are still road legal. Looking forward to spending more time on the forum and getting to know peeps.

Heres the car

Welcome.

That's is one hot Corolla WRC!

And you'll have bags of fun with the 4A-GE Black Top, only problem with them is that it's hard to get much more power out of them.

I am hoping to get my hands on another 4A-GE 16V with the MAP sensor which I will build up to an N/A 200BHP :D

Keep us updated with the work you do!

Thanks guys

We have heard the 16V is better for getting more power but dont you have to spend a real fat wad to get there?? I know the 20V has throttle bodies as standard and runs approx 165bhp. It has just been dyno'd at 109.3 at the fly, not bad for a 12 year old standard 4AFE !!

Not sure if we are doing JAE yet.

Yes it is. The 16 Valve has a much greater abundance of parts and if you go for the same engine as me (4A-GE TVIS with the 7-Ribbed block and MAP sensor) then you have less weight in the components compared to the later non-TVIS versions so therefore less inertia which lets it rev quicker. This makes it more suited to racing applications.

It has the "small" 40mm crank and 18mm pins against the "heavy" 42mm crank and 20mm pins. It weighs 11Kg compared to the later crank which weighed 11.7Kg.

Hello and welcome to TOC. It's good to see someone else with an AE111 Corolla and a good looking one at that. If this is the one that was on the track at Japfest then I think I talked to your other half, Chris. My Corolla was on the Co-ordSport trade stand
